Additional Website or Additional Account – what’s the difference?
We’ve recently had a lot of enquiries about creating an additional website which is fantastic! We’re thrilled that so many of you are expanding and growing your businesses, and obviously we are more than happy to help. However there has been a bit of confusion about the difference between an additional website and an additional account. So we thought we would clarify the differences here.
An additional website is made within the same account as your main site. This means that both websites share the image storage area, as well as copyright string, direct payment account options, accounting and sales reports, custom watermarks and billing. Of course, your additional site can use its own domain name and be branded completely differently to the main site. Additional sites have a £3 per month hosting fee added to your normal subscription. This suits most user requirements.
If however the two sites need to be completely separate then you would need to create a secondary account. This is discounted to £10 per month for the pro account level, but you can not have an entry-level account for your main site and a discounted pro account for your secondary site. Both websites would have to be a pro accounts. or both on the lower level.
- To create an additional site go to My Websites > Create Additional Website more
- Or create a secondary account by going to My Profile > My Finance Details > My Monthly Bill > Account Admin > Secondary Account.
