Moodboard: August Weddings

August weddings have got to include some of our favourites. The weather is glorious, lawn games come into play and florals take centre stage. 

Marquees, yurts and tents are a popular choice for this month, especially for the festival loving couple. They are perfect blank canvases and give that hint of child-like magic to the day. Haven’t we all once wished to visit a fairyland where it is always Midsummer?

Sticking with the Midsummer theme, we love the beautiful floral displays that pop up this month – from hanging blooms from your tent roof and displaying flowers in crates to embracing the floral crown big or small. We also can’t get over the beautiful timeless gowns that populate the month. They are the perfect choice for any fairytale princess!

We also adore the village fete ideas that many couples are choosing to embrace. Lawn games are a fantastic addition to any wedding day and are perfect for adults and children alike. We’re thinking croquet, boules, supersize Jenga or even sack races for the brave amongst us. Naked cakes are another trend that we can’t get enough of. Say goodbye to the traditional iced flower wedding cake and say hello to whatever flavour takes your fancy. A perfect way of injecting even more of the couple’s personality into the day.
