After this endless winter, I think we could all do with a bit of summer sunshine so we have put together a little summer mood board. We love everything that summer has to offer. Not just the potentially great weather but also the food, colours and flowers.
Food comes in all forms during the summer months. From fresh crispy salads to barbequed meats and fish and even to fresh desserts, it’s such a delicious few months. Some of our favourites are featured in the mood board above. Just look at that gorgeous salmon!
The colours are also a favourite of ours this time of year. All the bright colours come out to play and look so fresh and vibrant in the abundance of natural light. Not to mention the garden coming into its own. This is the time of huge blooms, armfuls of wildflowers, birds flitting from tree to tree and summer houses being dusted and brought back out from hibernation.
Who couldn’t love summer?
Last week, we spoke about getting your business on Facebook and the benefits of doing so. But, once you have your Facebook page set up, what should you post? What type of post gets the best engagement? And what kind of posts would work best for your audience? We’ve included a list of seven simple Facebook post ideas that are perfect for the small business owner.
There is often an independent streak that runs through the self-employed. There is a feeling that you have to do everything by yourself – make all the tough decisions, deal with all the challenges and keep the motivation flowing. Not only is this stressful and at times overwhelming, but also can be very lonely. After all, human beings are social creatures and we tend to function at our best when surrounded by like-minded people who inspire, motivate and support us. Being a part of a business community is just that – a place of like-minded people in the same industry that can help you grow not just in your business, but also on a personal level.
January weddings are so dramatic – from the colours and flavours, to the dress and the weather.
We love the rich, dark hues that are mixed with sparkling white at this time of year. It’s such a classic look and yet ever so glamorous.
We also love how beautiful, rich food comes out at this time of year. We’re thinking gourmet roast dinners, rich hot chocolate bars and decadent doughnut desserts.
January is also the perfect excuse for a beautiful, sparkling gown. Take inspiration from Frozen, Nanny McPhee and Cinderella for some truly stunning winter dresses.
Finally, even though January weddings have to cope with more moody weather, we love the atmosphere this provides. Steamy, iced up windows, dramatic clouds and torrential rain can give the big day all sorts of magic, especially when it comes to photos.
