Throwback Thursday – Paypal eCheques!
It’s another Thursday nearer to Christmas and we’re certainly getting in the festive spirit here in the office! Before everyone goes off for a well deserved Christmas break we wanted to draw your attention to an important issue; PayPal eCheques…
The PayPal eCheque feature allows your customer to transfer money directly from their bank account into your Paypal account, but unlike Instant Bank Transfers…they are not instant payments. With eCheque payments, the funds arrive typically seven to nine working days after the payment has been initiated by your customer.
Therefore we suggest you disable the eCheque feature if you want the more traditional automated style of payment. To do this; log in to your PayPal account and from the home screen select “Seller Preferences”, then “Block Payments” and then click “Update”. Here you will see a tick box under “Block the following payments” to block “pay with eCheques”. Remember to save your changes!
However, if you would like to continue accepting eCheques then we suggest you ensure that the payment has been received through your PayPal account prior to marking the payment as completed!
Enjoy! 🙂
